Dresses for the "non-flower girls"

So the grand daughters were not going to be flower girls but now they want to be flower girls. We haven't decided what that means til we get to rehearsal to see if they will still want to do it or not. The oldest grand daughter did not perform so well at her grandfather's wedding, however she was only 2 then. The girls are now 6 and 3 so they could do really well.

So in the effort to make them feel wedding-like I was looking at flower girl dresses and couldn't believe the prices and then I stumbled on tutus! I was going to buy two and they were still about $35 each plus tax, shipping and with only 27 days to go, not even sure they would get here in time in the colours I want.

So since Google is my friend, I googled instructions and now I am going to attempt to make them myself.

Here is a photo from a website that I found during my search. There are many more but this is the length I like.

These are even more gorgeous, not sure if I can make this one.

But I might be able to make this one and they could wear a fancy tank top.

Here are some more via Google image search.

Wedding planning update

It has been awhile since I updated but things are still progressing with only 27 days to go.

So the caterer situation changed but the bride has met with the caterer and sorted out the menu.

The floorplan for the tables is organized.

Tablecloths have been sourced.

Flowers have been purchased for the tables.

Candles have been purchased.

Invitations were completed by the fabulous cousins and all mailed out. I will take a photo and post them shortly.

I am working on the place cards and we have a few more things to do this week when the bride returns from visiting her youngest daughter and grandsons in Newfoundland.

We still have to meet with the cake lady and the jewelry designer.
